Welcome

Living in Portland, Oregon, the brewpub capital of the world, I thought it would be great to get out and visit all 73 Oregon breweries, 38 of them being in the Portland metro area. With so many great breweries located between San Francisco and Seattle there was no reason to limit it exclusively to Oregon beers, and thus, the Year of 1000 Beers was born.

Originally I had planned to have this take place between my 29th and 30th birthdays, but found it more appropriate to have it begin and end with the Oregon Brewers Festival.

From July 24, 2009 to July 23, 2010 I will drink 1000 different full beers, no tasters, and catalogue them here. Facebook fans can see the live feed ---> otherwise, this site will be updated daily.
